YouTube Series
This Needs Updating. I Will Get to it Eventually
Analysis
There are about three quarters of a million hours of content uploaded to YouTube daily. The average length is about 12 minutes. So, there are about 3.75 million videos uploaded daily. These numbers are a little hard to grasp, so let me put it into perspective. If a person were to attempt to watch the content from a single day it would require 750,000 hours or 750,000/24 = 31,250 days assuming they watched 24 hours per day. This, in turn is about 85.6 years. So, in practical terms, if a person were born and started watching YouTube immediately, 24 hours per day, they would not live long enough to see the full content for that day, ignoring the problem of being about to watch fro 24 hours a day. That is a lot of content. So, let's come at this from another perspective.
There are, roughly, 125 million daily active users on YouTube consuming more than a billion hours of video every day. Let's play with this a bit.
More to come . . .
Left Over from before
YouTube is a little tricky and requires a little explanation. Most people just watch videos that YouTube recommends and have no idea how channels, playlists and other mechanisms, internal to YouTube, work.
I have two channels on YouTube: DrJohnArtz is my main channel. This channel is where I post video series based on my non-fiction books. Each series (or book if it is easier to think of that way) has its own play list. Below is a list of non-fiction books. Only the first one has any videos thus far.
So, if you click on the link above, it will take you to my channel Home. where you will see tabs for Home, Videos, Playlists, Channels, and About. The Videos tab will show you all the videos posted to the channel. And the playlists tab will show you the starting videos for each playlist.
If you click on "The Meaning of Life Playlist" below it will take you to The Meaning of Life Playlist on my YouTube Channel. The other books do not have playlists yet. This is not optimal, But, I will have to get a little further along before I can improve it. Eventually, I will have a page on this website for each playlist and a link that points directly to each video. But, that will take some time and I have more pressing demands at the present. It is always a challenge figuring out whether to work on content, presentation, structure, or marketing. And I rarely get it right. So, I appreciate your patience.
